William "Bill" Welch Brown IV

LACONIA ---- William ‘Bill’ Welch Brown IV, 62, of Merrimack Street, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family after losing his battle to cancer, on Thursday, June 5, 2025.

Bill was born in Maine on March 19, 1963. 

As a boy, Bill lived in Hollowell, ME. He played football, rode horses and won a variety of ribbons and trophies. He later moved to Belmont, NH, where he graduated high school. He spent the remainder of his years in Laconia, NH, where he raised his family. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing and most of all, his favorite thing to do was go camping in Vermont with his family. 

Bill worked a few different jobs until finding his place at Boy’d (Aavid) in Laconia, where he stayed and established many friends who will miss him dearly. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Welch Brown III and Judith A. Yeaton-Brown, as well as his brother, Gary R. Fuller. He is survived by his son Robert Brown and his two daughters Chloe and Mia, William Brown V. and his two daughters Harmony and Lily, Michael Brown and his wife Ashley and their two sons Mason and Eathan along with stepson Dillon, and Nicholas Abbott, Jr., who was like another son to him, his former wife and dearest friend, Vicki Brown, siblings, Brenda Lee Brown, Julie Morrissette, Everett Brown, Evelyn Sturgeon, Louise Brown, Marsha Suver, Janet Vashon and Helen Michard, along with their families. 

At Bill’s request, there will be no visiting hours or traditional funeral services. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date with immediate friends and family.
