Nicholas Caramanica

LACONIA ---- Nicholas ‘Nick’ J. Caramanica, Jr., 74, of Laconia, NH, died on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

Nick was born and raised in Waltham, MA, the son of the late Nicholas and Rhea (Berard) Caramanica.

Nick was a graduate of Waltham High School and Bentley College. Nick lived in many towns across Massachusetts working in various occupations throughout his career. He moved to Laconia, NH in the early 2000s to be near the lakes and mountains. His passions included running, woodworking, cooking/baking, and the Red Sox.

An avid reader with an insatiable curiosity for the world, his bookshelves were a testament to his lifelong love of learning, and he was always eager to share a good story or recommend a favorite book.

He was predeceased by his sister Linda (Caramanica) O’Hara. He is survived by his siblings Lana Caramanica and Neal Caramanica, his nieces Joanne Chandonait, Sue (Chandonait) Dahlquist, Gwen Caramanica, and Kimberly (Caramanica) Gordon, nephew David Caramanica, and their families. He also leaves behind many loving cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.
