Marleen Ann (Wass) Layne

LACONIA ---- Marleen Ann Layne, 56, died Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Concord Hospital in Laconia.

She was born September 25, 1968, in Brockton, MA to William McDonald and Kathleen (McNeil) Wass. 

Marleen is survived by her parents and step mother Marge McDonald, sons Austin Brue and Garrett Brue, daughters Jamie Antelmi and Mickayla, all of Laconia, brothers William McDonald and his husband Roberto Villegas, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Thomas McDonald, of Belmont, NH, sister Kathleen Foley and her husband Michael, of Laconia, NH, grandchildren Carter, Eli, Layla and Malik, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Joey Cantin. 

At this time there will be no services.

They say, "With death comes new life." In Marleen’s death, two other lives were given a chance with the donation of her liver and kidneys. The family would like to extend a big heartfelt thank you to the staff at Beth Israel Hospital, of Boston for taking care of Marleen and giving two other wonderful people a new life.
