Laura Anne Jean (Brewer) Hill, 93, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away, Sunday, October 8, 2023 at All American Assisted Living at Londonderry. She was born and raised in Saginaw, MI, to Arthur and Marion (Evans) Brewer. A graduate of Sexton High School in Lansing Michigan, she went on to attend Hillsdale College and Michigan State University and later took classes at Wayne State University and Merrimack College.
The Brewer family had owned property in Bar Harbor and on Cadillac Mt. in Maine, where Laura enjoyed time on the ocean and the New England atmosphere. Laura married and moved to Andover, MA, where she raised her five children and worked for Raytheon in Andover as an administrative assistant. Free time was spent with family, and she instilled in them a love of hiking, camping, skiing and snowshoeing in New Hampshire. Laura also loved to travel and did so extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. She maintained her membership in the West Parish Church in Andover even after moving to New Hampshire.
In 1983 she married David Hill. They both had a love of the New Hampshire Lakes. Laura would design her dream home on Newfound Lake where they would spend their “winters” and “summers” were spent at David’s family camp on Lake Wentworth in Wolfeboro.
In addition to her husband, David, she leaves her children: Pamela (Mackay) Geronimos; Scott Mackay; Deborah (Mackay) Blair; Stephen Mackay (Ellen); and Sandra (Mackay) St.Germain (William); 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a brother Frederick Brewer.
The family would especially like to thank the staff and caretakers at All American Assisted Living at Londonderry, Brookhaven Hospice and The Taylor Community in Laconia for their friendship and care of Laura during the last five years of her life.
