Gene Wallace Obituary

Gene R. Wallace, 90, formerly of New Hampton, died Monday, October 23, 2023 at the St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a period of declining health. Born in Laconia, Gene was the son of Eddie C. Wallace and Vera (Harvey) Hebert. Until his recent move, Gene had been a lifelong resident of New Hampton, attending local schools and a part of the community.

During the Korean conflict, Gene served in the US Army. In his younger days, Gene worked at the LW Packard Woolen Mill in Ashland.

He is survived by his son, George Wallace of New Hampton, several nieces, and cousins.

Services-In accordance with Gene’s wishes, there will be not any services. Following cremation, his remains will interred with his late wife, Elois (Boynton) Wallace in the New Hampton Village Cemetery. To share a memory or leave an message of sympathy, please visit: www.EmmonsFuneralHome.com
