Eugene Robert Jorgensen

QUINCY, MA ---- Eugene Robert Jorgensen, 84, of Martensen Street, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Boston Medical Center, Boston, MA.

Eugene was born on January 30, 1940, in Laconia, NH, the son of late Lars Jorgensen and Helen Jorgensen.

Eugene worked as a machinist. He was a proud veteran of the US Army where he was stationed in Fort Still, OK, Korea and Fort Bragg, NC. Eugene was very involved in the local VFW and often helped with the Disabled Veterans National Foundation. Eugene was also a volunteer at the Quincy Animal Shelter. Eugene enjoyed fishing on Boston Harbor.

Eugene is survived by his son Jeffrey Jorgensen, of Westminster, MA; daughters Janice DiSalvio, of Scituate, MA, Jaime Jorgensen, of Whitman, MA, and Jillann Sweeney, of Weymouth, MA; sister Betty Graf, of Belmont, NH; grandchildren, Jeffrey Jorgensen Jr., Autumn Jorgensen, Joshua O’Connor and Ashley Burgess; 4 great-grandchildren’ and 2 nieces and 5 nephews. In addition to his parents, Eugene is predeceased by his brother Richard Jorgensen.

A Graveside Service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 1:00pm at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
