Ethel L. DiNardo

GILFORD ---- Ethel L. DiNardo, 89, of Butternut Lane, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

Ethel was born on May 17, 1936, in Winchester, Massachusetts, the daughter of John A. McAllister and Ethel M. (Beard) McAllister. She was the sister of John, Jean, and Louis. She lived in the Woburn, Massachusetts area for many years and later made her home in Laconia, New Hampshire.

As a young woman, Ethel met and married her soulmate, Carmen D. DiNardo of Woburn. Together, they shared a loving and devoted marriage until Carmen’s passing in 2013.

Ethel was employed as a switchboard operator at S.S. Pierce/Kraft until her retirement. She enjoyed many summers on Newfound Lake and winters in Florida with her husband.

Her great sense of humor, sharp wit, and infectious laugh will be missed.

Ethel is survived by her loving daughters, Kerrie DiNardo and Layna Hargreaves; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 5:00pm-7:00pm in the Carriage House at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home,164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11:00am at St. Anthony Parish, 851 Main Street, Woburn, MA.

A graveside service will follow Mass in Woodbrook Cemetery, 100 Salem Street, Woburn, MA.
