Douglas N. Glover, 74, died Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Concord Hospital-Laconia. Born in Rumney and living there until 1987, when he married and moved to Bridgewater, Doug was one of five children of Wesley and Betty (Burnham) Glover. Doug began working with his father and grandfather doing carpentry, siding and modular homes. He went on to work as a police officer for the Town of Rumney, before beginning a 32-year career with Freudenberg, NOK, where he worked throughout the plant, retiring as a warehouse attendant.
In his younger years, he enjoyed time spent snowmobiling and hunting. He served in the NH National Guard and volunteered as a 4-H leader for many years. A quiet man until he got to know you, Doug will be remembered for his devotion to his family and his love of movies, especially John Wayne films.
Family members include is wife of 36 years, Paula (Morrill) Glover; two sons: Wesley and Harrison “Harry” Glover all of Bridgewater; a daughter, Victoria Glover and grandson Cole Hurd of Meredith; sisters: Donna (Faust) Minickello of Bridgewater and Florida; Joanne Seawright of Plymouth; Marcia Glover (Bill Tallman) of Campton. He also leaves brothers-in-law: Paige T. Morrill and P. Wesley (Rhonda) Morrill; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and & great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Gary Glover and his in-laws: Paul and Jane Morrill.
A celebration of life will be held from 3-5pm, Friday, August 18th, 2023, at the Bridgewater Town Hall, 297 NH Rt 3-A. Interment will be private and at a later date in Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
