Christopher Smith Obituary

Christopher P. Smith, 67, died Sunday, May 21, 2023.  He was born in Albany, NY, the son of Calvin and BettyLee (Anderson) Smith.  Chris was raised in Goffstown and graduated from Goffstown High School in 1973.  In 1980 he joined the US Army where he served honorably.  Shortly after his discharge in 1984, he met and married Linda (Balkam).  He worked for Allied Tannery in Boscawen, then for Webster Valve in Franklin, and for the last 13 years he has worked at Freudenberg, NOK in Bristol. 

Chris loved sports of all kinds and spent much of his free time watching or playing games.  He personally took part in work sponsored bowling and golf leagues.  He was also an avid billiards player and he loved to play scratch tickets for the lottery. 

Family members include his wife, Linda (Balkam) Smith; mother BettyLee Smith; sisters Kelly Duguay and June Clark; nieces Tiffany (Tyler) Shane and Krystal (Chris) Williams; and a nephew, Calvin Butler.

Services-A memorial services will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 1pm at the Emmons Funeral Home, 115 South Main Street, Bristol.  Interment will be private.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas TX 75284-0692, www.heart.org or Celiac Disease Foundation, 20350 Ventura Blvd Ste 240, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, www.celiac.org/donate/
